OMG! Yesterday was soooo much fun! My friends Zach, Mellisa and Tyler went to davis to walk around and go to a park with a giant stone slide. It was an endeavor trying to get there but once we did, it was amazing. Then we decided to walk about 6 miles to borders and read random books. Great day. LOVE YOU ALL! And happy happy happy birthday Rachel!!! I wish I had something better to give you but I don't have anything

Today!

So I didn't get to take a photo of the day so pretend that photo from earlier was in this post! So for a second day I taught a lesson with the missionaries! I really am mormon. On another note, I'm going to have to go to court for something I didn't do. If you remember the post I had about that. So thats a downer and I think I may have picked my major and minor but I'm not 100% sure its what I want but for now I will settle for it. Oh well Have a great day/ night/ year =]

Back in time (Day 56

(I didn't have time to post anything last night so I'm doing it now and just pretend like I wrote this last night)

So last night (remember this is from two days ago) I got some exciting news. I GOT ACCEPTED! WOOT! Supper fabulous Jonas Brothers party! (seriously, I want to have one) I was so excited that I almost peed. So I ran t the bathroom, relieved my bladder and ran back and did a happy dance and jump. So I called everyone that were on a need to know basis (Julia, Caryn, Curtis, Rachel, Natalie, John, my mom and pretty much anyone who reads this blog) and if you really need to know, I got accepted to BYU-Idaho. I don't know when I'm leaving either so thats a bit sad. But oh well. Thats my exciting news.

Other than that today (yesterday) I felt extremely mormon. I taught a lesson with the missionaries, I read my scriptures, I went to seminary and everything. The one thing I didn't do is go to mutual which I think isn't a bad thing because I did have a previous commitment. Anyways, I'm also selling my drum set if you are interested or know someone who is interested in buying it. My price is $600. Its practically new, and I'm going to but all new heads on the drums and all new hardware too! (sorry to push this on those who actually read my blog) So if you know anyone who is looking to buy a drum set, just tell me and yeah.

I love all of you, I am supper giddy and I feel slightly like an asian school girl when american punk bands come to Japan.

(The one from yesterday)

And a fresh one because I feel so bad for not posting one yesterday

Day 55

So I got an e-mail yesterday from the music department at BYU-Idaho about what instruments I play and if I'm still interested in a music major and all that stuff and they sort of made it seem like I got in and It was a bit confusing and a bit exciting but still depressing. So Today I get about 3 e-mails about how it didn't mean that I got accepted. It was so devastating. Oh well, gave me a laugh for a while. Hope all is well. I couldn't really decide on a photo of the day so here are the ones that I've chosen so far.

This one is for Rachel because I think we had an epic conversation about milkshakes when we first started talking.

The one from yesterday

I will tell you about yesterday in w later post. sorry

I honestly don't use photo booth at all so just to prove it, I posted all of my photos that I've taken with it.

Day 52

I've been so busy lately. This week feels like the longest week ever! I've been really busy with music and such and I have been sick too so not much chance to get any good photos. For a few days I didn't even take any photos because I was so tired so needless to say I've gotten rusty.  But oh well. I hope everyone has been happy, well rested and looking beautiful which isn't a problem with anyone who reads this blog. Especially the men, they are all very handsome. Wish all of you the best of love. =]

Day 52

Make up!!!! (for the past days)

So I haven't been taking pictures for the past few days. I've just been sick and busy and a bunch of other things have been going on like recording and trying to find instruments and other musicians and everything! But have no fear I am no longer being so lazy. Hope all is well with you and no one is sick. BYE!

(my mom wants me to take photos of her jewelry)

SORRY!

I slept all day today! It was quite nice but the dreams I had were a bit troubling. I really want to get into college but I'm having doubts, huge doubts about getting accepted. I guess I should look on the bright side. I didn't have a chance to take a photo today either so I am really sorry. I had to use one from yesterday. Sorry sorry sorry. Hope all of you feel loved.

So bored today. I didn't really do much except talk to an ex meth addict about the gospel.

Hope all is well, love all around and blah blah blah

day 47

Today was a sick day. I just slept all day. It was amazing

Favourite lyric for the time being

Snails- The Format
"My family's not rich by any means
But I feel we won the lottery, that day
The rock swallowed the girl
And I cried as cameras caught my eyes
My tears turned into butterflies
They flew away ask caskets close
A new day comes you'll wake unfolding
Smile when you feel the sunlight"

day 47

Day 46

Another late post that I have to apologize for. I was cooped up in the music department all day yesterday and we were supposed to be in the studio all day but it turns out there was a mix up with the schedule and we didn't get to record till the band that was in there got out. Funny thing is they invited me in to talk about the whole dilemma. So when they were done, I asked if we could set up and they said yes. And keep in mind when we had planned this we were to understand we couldn't use their equipment. The person that was in charge then proceeded to tell me where everything was in the studio and the pass-code to get into ANY door in the building that had a keypad on it. So pretty much, I had the keys to the kingdom! He even offered to let us use their sound board and computer but I decided that I didn't want to screw anything up so I said no. We got into the studio at about 6 and got out at about 11 just for two drum tracks. It was a bit of a let down for me but I was relieved to be done. We decided to come home that night because we really didn't have anything to do tomorrow so that was really nice for me because I've been sick for a few days now. I hope all of you are well and didn't miss me too much, I'm sure you didn't. Have a nice night!

Day 45

Sorry for the late post, I got into San Jose last night at around 10:30. and I haven't had internet since I got here so I haven't had a chance to post till now. I am in a class room on campus writing music with the band.

So yesterday was pretty hectic. Trying to figure out the whole situation of how to get here, pack, and what to do once we got here. Not to mention I'm kind of sick. So the drive was filled with loud singing as Will's car stereo was stolen. We only stopped once to get cough syrup, soda and gum. So once we got to San Jose we met up with Mckay and went to drop off our equipment in the music department. So Steven and I got kind of board waiting inside for someone to open the recording studio so we wandered and we found the concert hall! There were instruments I've never seen before so if you know me, you know that I'm interested in playing EVERY instrument I see. So naturally I was in love. We played an improvised duet on piano and harpsichord. It was quite amazing. I loved that concert grand. Anyways! I will update again later. Sorry for the late post. Love you.

Day 44

5 really good songs
1: Julia- The beatles
2: Not so tough, found out- Copeland
3: Never gonna give you up- Rick Astley
4: A lack of color- Death Cab For Cutie
5: Thriller- Michael Jackson

Today was really boring. I really wish I had plans for tomorrow but they were slightly interrupted but I can't really be angry. Oh well. Doing nothing tomorrow night. Sitting home for another lonely Valentines day. Hope you are all loving what ever you are doing. I love all of you!!!!

Day 44

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Day 43

5 of my favorite songs (in no real order)
1: When you thought you'd never stand out- Copeland
2: Gunpowder: A ballet- Dr. Manhattan
3: I'm kicking myself- As tall as lions
4: X&Y- Coldplay
5: When we escape- Minus the bear

Today was pretty bad really. For the past two days I've been hugging the toilet like its my best friend and my other friend Ginger (ale) helps me feel better. I have been being lazy all day. Watching TV, staying on the computer and sitting on the couch. I have also decided to try my hand at growing a beard. Thought you should know that. Hope all of you feel much better and only like your toilet as though it were an annoying relative who you only talk to when you absolutely need to. Love you.

Day 43

One for Curtis

So last night at rehearsal we got let out early. Everyone seemed to be eager to get out of there. Some more eager than others. So I helped put everything away and I turn around to find Curtis as he usually the one who drives me home and I couldn't find him. So I figure I will just walk home. So I start walking then one of the other cast members offers me a ride so I take it and go home, no big deal.

I wake up the next morning with 2 messages on my phone from Curtis. I thought they were pretty funny (sorry) just because he cared so much about me. Thank you Curtis. That picture is for you Curtis.

photos from today

I took quite a few good ones after my first post, I just wanted to share them

Day 42

5 Places I feel most comfortable
1: Church
2: On stage with an instrument
3: At the Stapp's
4: In a recording studio

Wow, nothing really happened today. Sorry to say nothing to report.

Here's a new quote.

"To perceive something is to deceive yourself into believing the facts to be what you want them to be."

College, here I possibly come! (day 41)

So It turns out that I DID have everything in on time! This week has be so great so far. I think this could be my best week ever. To make it even more exciting, I have been asked by a number of other bands to come out to shows and take photos of them. I think I am actually happy. Its intense. I love all of you

Day 41 (This guy was waiting for his 'Homie' to pick him up. No joke, those were his words)

Monday, February 9, 2009

Woot for college applications, not really.

5 things that help me sleep.
1: the sound of Icelandic bands
2: Arrested Development
3: When I talk to someone on the phone for an hour a day
4: Having written something that I like that day
5: Reading my scriptures

I really dislike college applications. I have everything in then BAM! They have something that I missed on the application that I had already filled out and now its highschool information, what classes I'm going to or have taken my senior year which I will never actually take so I have no way to fill it out! FRUSTRATION! And now I have to wait for tomorrow to call because Idaho is in a different time zone! But on the bright side, the band that got me into music is back together!!!! That is one of the best things that can happen for me! I was so happy when I saw it I cried for about 45 minutes and I could hardly breath. Hope all of you could feel that way all the time. That happy, not like you are going to suffocate.

"Ryan, can you please post two photos for today? PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE WITH A CHERRY ON TOP!?!?!?!?!"

"Oh don't you fret my little cupcake, I would give you the world if I could."

Day 40

Sunday, February 8, 2009

Day 39 was a day of rest

5 things I'm going to do this week
1: Help Chuy take pictures
2: Call everyone in my phone who's name starts with an 'R'
3: Try to get together every musician for my live set.
4: Record music
5: Start doing art again

Lately my mind has been racing with thoughts of my live set for Living With Giants. And also I have started to realize this is so much bigger than I knew. During the show on friday alot of the security people thought they knew me from a band and it turns out they all knew the name 'Living With Giants' and when I proceeded to show them my music on my Ipod they had heard it before. It seems that I have already grown much further than I had expected to with in the time that has past. I still love all of you so much. I really hope you are doing well.

Day 38 (sorry, I didn't have much to chose from today because my camera battery only had so much life in it and then it started to rain)

Saturday, February 7, 2009

Day 38

5 things I want to learn how to do
1: Be more outgoing
2: Stick to what I say
3: Sing falsetto
4: Drive
5: Dance

Today was full of music yet again! After 6 hours of constant ear peircingly loud music, you would think that I may want to take a break. NOPE! My friends and I ventured to Sacramento to go to the Carvin store and Guitar Center. I fell in love with an amp and a guitar and I am pretty set on both now. But other than that I didn't have a chance to take the photo of the day. I was planning on doing in but my battery was dead so I am posting one from last night and I know Caryn has already seen it but I'm not sure about anyone else. Hope you like it.

Day 38 (I'm a sad, sad robot)

One for Jules

So at the concert last night I met some great bands and one person in particular caught my eye. He looked like a punk version of Kevin Jonas!!! He and I became instant friends and we hung out for the whole night. I'm getting about 15$ from each band that played last night but his hug was worth everything I have.

Friday, February 6, 2009

One to start the night

So there will probably not be a designated photo of the day due to my job as a photographer for a band. I'm going to be mucho busy so this is the faux-photo of the day. I will post a link to a photo album of all the photos from tonight. I hope you all have a splended day =]

Day 37

Thursday, February 5, 2009

OMG! Unicorns, Ligars and Triceratops!!! Why did Kurt have to lie about the gun? Why does my big toe smell........ EWWWWW (how's that for a title?)

5 bands I would like to see again or just in general
1: Death Cab For Cutie
2: The beatles
3: Muse
4: Switchfoot
5: Radiohead

Today was quite uneventful. I thought it would be more exciting but I didn't do ANYTHING! Well, I had a lesson withthe missionaries but thats it! That was amazing though...... I was supposed to go and shoot some photos with Chuy but he forgot he had church band practice. Then Mckay was supposed to come up here today to practice for his show tomorrow night (I am going because I'm the sound tech, photographer, drum tech and the only roadie) but he couldn't for some reason. And because of the weather I couldn't get anywhere to take a good photo of the day so I apologize for what you are about to see. Love all of you!!!!!

Day 36

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

Day 35

5 things I want to do
1: I want to go to college
2: I want to serve a mission
3: I want to continue learning
4: I want to write music for money
5: I want to find somebody to love

Today was VERY tiring. I only had about two hours of sleep. But I was still pretty productive today. I learned a new song, I wrote some lyrics, I worked out a drum part, I got started writing my new EP, I skated and tried to figure out my school situation. My school situation with south sutter isn't going well and I don't think its going to happen. Oh well. I was supposed to go to rehearsal last night apparently but I still can't find where it says for me to go. Oh well. Life is getting a bit down but I pray it will start looking up. And also I may move sometime soon which is very depressing. Hope all is well with you. I love each one of you.

Day 35

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

34 (these tittles are so uneventful)

5 things I do
1: I write music
2: I breath
3: I try to sing
4: I talk to at the least one Stapp a day
5: I try to take photos

Today was boring. Nothing to really report other than I almost forgot to take the photo of the day and when I saw it was getting to about twilight I remembered. So I shot up out of my chair, grabbed my camera, my skateboard and my ipod and rode as fast as I could to the train tracks so I would have a photo for today. I hope you are happy I'm still doing this for all of you to look at! Thank you for caring!!!!!

Day 34 (hehe, yellow)

Monday, February 2, 2009

Day 33? Yeah, its 33

5 things I like
1: I like puppies
2: I like watching the screaming kids in sacrament meeting
3: I like guitar
4: I like to learn
5: I like that you care enough to read this blog

So today was interesting. I worked for about 3 hours and made 45$ for taking candid photos of frozen yogurt places for my father. And then I had my first rehearsal for Joseph and during rehearsal I learned I was a baritone, go figure. Other than that I don't know whats going on the with school situation. My application was supposed to be in yesterday but my ecclesiastical endorsement and high school information hasn't been received. Oh well, hope you are all well.

Day 33

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Day 32!

So life has been looking up. Revised my itunes so I have more happy music. And so far It has brought me up mucho. I am also working towards receiving my patriarchal blessing. Love you all.

I'm really nervous about tomorrow. First musical rehearsal and I don't know where to go. Oh well, I will figure it out before I go hopefully. =]

Day 32

Two from yesterday
